The Michael Mills Band Feat. Tom Hambridge

"The Michael Mills Band sparked a blues/rock firestorm on its album Stand Up, which was released in 2020. The album was what people needed going into a pandemic. The Michael Mills Band had to stop performing like so many other artists.

So the went back into the studio and started working on new songs. This was a opportunity to go in a new direction with the music. So Mike and Jesse started writing and working to create something new. Fast forward to meeting Tom Hambridge (Producer for Joe Bonamassa, Christone 'Kingfish' Ingram, Keb' Mo... )
This was a extraordinary opportunity for the band to have Tom Hambridge produce their song.

Previous Album Review "Stand Up"
It’s a super cool set full of extremely well-written songs and top-flight playing from some of the finest musicians on the USA’s West Coast that’s certain to light up the speakers of roots music fans the world over. The group as a whole is quite adept at crossing genres like blues, rock and roll, funk, and R&B in its songs and the resulting sound is danceable, accessible, and memorable. TMMB shows the influence of major artists like Eric Clapton, Joe Bonamassa, The Delgado Brothers, Tedeschi Trucks, and SRV but has found its own style and mode of expression that makes this new record a fresh and exciting ride from start to finish.
Working out of Huntington Beach California, Mills and his cohorts have built a solid reputation as one of the best blues bands in The Golden State. The group’s music is regularly heard on hundreds of radio stations and media outlets around the globe and they regularly play headline shows at quality venues like The House of Blues. The present lineup of Michael Mills (lead vocals, guitar), Ron Ravicchio (drums), Scot Campbell (bass), Mark Weisz (Hammond organ), and Jesse Godoy (guitar) is tight and capable with an obvious internal chemistry that makes Stand Up the group’s finest hour yet."

More About the Band
The Michael Mills Band have developed their sound from a mixture of Blues/Soul/Funk and R&B. MMB influences are too many to mention but to try to name a few…..Eric Clapton, Joe Bonamassa, The Delgado Brothers, Tedeschi Trucks and of course SRV. I am leaving hundreds out. Our lineup includes some of the greatest musicians on the West Coast. To begin, on Drums, Ron Ravicchio. Ron has toured with everyone and gone everywhere. He is the glue of the band and keeps everyone on track. Scot Campbell on Bass. Scot has been deeply entrenched in the Blues scene for many decades. Michael Mills fronts the band and along with Jesse writes all the material. We have been blessed with being included in the rotations of hundreds of Blues/R&B stations nationally and globally.
